Another year means new goals
Well another year has approached and I have yet to jump on the bandwagon to make some goals for myself. Well now that I’ve finally decided which goals for 2015 I want to pursue I should make my post.
Here is a list of my goals for 2015:
-Qualify for half fanatics (I’ve always wanted to be a part of this wonderful group of people who love half marathons as much as I do) hoping to check this off my list on February 1st since I have 2 half marathons 7 days apart.
-I’m determined to get a sub 2 hour half marathon but I know that’s not going to happen anytime soon. My “realistic” goal is 2:10. I missed this goal by 6 minutes last year but this year it’s high on my list.
-Sign up for the Goofy Challenge in April. This race isn’t until January 2016 but I have always wanted to push myself to the challenge and I figured the half one day and the marathon the following day will definitely be the challenge I’m willing to do.
-Focus more on strength training. This one I can stick with for a few months but I tend to slowly fall off the wagon. I’m determined to make a plan and stick with it.
-This one may sound like a silly goal but I need to type it so I can hold myself accountable. I will continue to make my lunches for work. We have a cafeteria and we can use our badges to swipe for lunch. I had over 300 dollars in lunch expenses last year. So far in 2015 I have had a 0 balance and I hope to keep it that way.
-I want to sign up for Space Coast Marathon in February. The race will be in November so I’m hoping to sign up and train. I’m ready to conquer marathon number 2.
-I love reading books. I’m looking to broadening my book genera. I’ve been reading the same type of book subjects and I’m ready to move onto different ones.
-This goal means a lot to me. As some of you may know I run for a little boy named Nolan. I live 1,263 miles from Nolan and since we don’t live so close. I made a goal to try and run that many miles in 2015. I know it’s a long shot but it’s worth a try. For every mile I run a bead goes in Nolan’s jar. I love this idea.
-Get more organized. I am a sloppy person when it comes to organization I am also a hoarder. I keep things I honestly just need to throw away or give away to charity.
